Bike Ride for Amy

The 5th Annual Bike Ride for Amy

Sunday, June 3, 2012 - 8:00am (7:00am check-in)

The Amy FoundationSM was established to enable women without health insurance to obtain free screening mammograms, and to work with individuals in the field to help detect breast cancer in its earliest stages. The bike ride helps support the Amy Feiman Behar Foundation which has provided over 1,000 mammograms for women without health insurance since its inception.

We have several exciting new features for this year's event:

  • A lower entry fee! Only $15 if you register by March 31. After March 31, $25
  • New routes!
    • The 25-mile route is a very flat, easy ride for all levels, running through Plainsboro and South Brunswick.
    • The 35-mile route is a challenging one that includes the hills on Herrontown and Coppermine Roads.
    • The 50-mile route is very challenging with 2,700 feet of climbing, including the above climbs and Sourland Mountain.
  • Fundraising opportunity! We are asking all participants to raise a minimum of $140 (including your entry fee). $140 is the cost of a mammogram for an uninsured woman.
  • New online fundraising tools! Our online tools will make it easy for your friends and colleagues to support you on your ride.

With the addition of the new, easier 25-mile ride, please invite your family and friends to join you for this fun option.

The Bike Ride for Amy begins at 8:00am (check-in at 7:00am) at South Brunswick High School 750 Ridge Road Monmouth Junction, NJ. 08824 In the event of rain, a decision will be made on June 5th as to carry on with the event or not. In the event of postponement, a new date will be posted on June 5th.

Thanks to Halter's Cycles who gave a 10% discount on bicycle tune-ups to all Bike Ride for Amy registrants in 2011!
